Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Government Affairs Manager (National Security) to drive federal advocacy and coalition-building to advance SpaceX and Starlink objectives.

You will manage policy development on national security, AI, satellite communications, and defense issues, working with Congress and regulators. The role requires 10+ years of legislative experience, a strong network with federal officials, and outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 10+ years of professional experience in legislative matters.
• Experience in private sector or government organization.

Responsibilities

• Support SpaceX on federal policy areas including national security and defence.
• Shape legislative strategies with defense appropriations and intelligence committees.
• Develop networks with federal officials, lawmakers, and regulators.
• Oversee consultants and third-party engagements in government affairs.
• Draft legislation, hearings, testimony, and policy positions.
• Monitor national security policy and funding developments.
• Prepare presentations for SpaceX leadership.
• Conduct policy research and develop collateral materials.
