The role focuses on broadband, AI, and telecommunications policy, with responsibility for strategizing, coalition-building, and interfacing with federal officials. The position requires 10+ years of legislative experience, an advanced degree, and exceptional communication skills.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience working on legislative matters in the private sector or a government organization.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Ability to shape legislative strategies and policy development at the federal level.
• Experience building coalitions and working with federal agencies and lawmakers.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for SpaceX on key policy areas including broadband, AI, and related issues.
• Shape legislative strategies, tactics, and policy development for the federal government.
• Develop and maintain relationships with federal officials, lawmakers, and regulatory decision-makers.
• Oversee consultants and third-parties engaged in SpaceX government affairs matters.
• Draft legislative language, prepare testimony, and develop policy positions.
• Monitor and analyze domestic policy developments and relevant legislation.
• Prepare presentations for SpaceX leadership and key audiences.
• Conduct research and develop policy collateral as needed.
