Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 10+ years in legislative matters preferred.
• Experience with federal appropriations, defense, or national security policy is a plus.
• Proven ability to build and manage coalitions among diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Advocate SpaceX on national security and defense issues with federal government.
• Shape legislative strategies and policy development for the federal government.
• Develop networks with federal officials, lawmakers, and regulatory decision-makers.
• Oversee consultants and third-parties in government affairs matters.
• Draft legislative language, hear testimony, and respond to policy developments.
• Monitor national security policy and funding changes and present to leadership.
• Prepare presentations and collateral materials for SpaceX leadership.
• Conduct research and develop policy materials as needed.
