A leading company in the pet wellness industry is seeking a Senior National Account Manager to develop and execute strategic sales plans. This role will focus on account management, sales strategy, and strong customer relationship building in the Pet Specialty segment, requiring 3-5 years of relevant experience. Ideal candidates will have a passion for pets and a proven track record in CPG sales.
The Senior National Account Manager (SNAM) for Pet Specialty is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans to achieve revenue, profitability, and market share objectives. This role requires deep expertise in account management, sales strategy, and customer relationship building. The SNAM will act as the primary point of contact, fostering strong partnerships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the successful implementation of promotional and marketing initiatives within these accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
Account Management:
·Serve as the lead point of contact for all account management matters.
·Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders
·Ensure the timely and successful delivery of solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
Sales Strategy & Execution:
·Develop and implement strategic account plans to achieve or exceed sales targets.
·Analyze sales data and market trends to identify growth opportunities and risks.
·Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., marketing, supply chain, finance) to ensure alignment and execution of account strategies.
·Manage Trade and Promotional Budget
·Manage Retail Media Budget
·Lead contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms that align with the company’s strategic objectives.
Business Development:
·Identify new business opportunities within H, including product expansions, new category entries, and promotional activities.
·Drive growth by expanding product placements and securing promotional features.
·Analyze competitive landscape and adjust strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
Forecasting & Reporting:
·Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and potential challenges.
·Monitor account performance and initiate corrective actions as needed to meet objectives.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
·Work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute marketing plans, including advertising, promotions, and in-store activations.
·Partner with the supply chain team to ensure product availability and efficient supply to Accounts
Qualifications:
·Experience: 3-5 years of CPG Sales experience in the Pet Specialty Industry
·Experience with Tractor Supply or PetSmart a plus
·Authorization to work in the U.S required
·Ability to travel as needed to meet with customers and internal teams.
