Job summary

Industrial Electric Mfg. (IEM) in the United States is seeking an experienced R&D Mechanical Engineer - Medium Voltage to lead design, testing, and certification of electrical power products.

You will collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers to drive development from concept to production, applying DFM principles and rigorous test plans. The role requires 5+ years in MV power distribution design, familiarity with NRTL processes (UL/CSA), and SolidWorks for 3D

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience designing low and/or medium voltage power distribution equipment or related products.
• Experience with NRTL evaluation, testing and certification processes.
• Experience with common standards for electrical equipment (UL 891, 1558, 508A; IEEE C37.20.2, etc.)
• Design experience using SolidWorks to produce 3D models is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, testing and certification of MV electrical power products.
• Serve as Project Leader for New Product Development from initiation to production.
• Coordinate with NRTL to define product evaluation and certification scope.
• Develop and document test plans and analyze results to revise designs.
