Job summary

Shulman Fleming & Partners in New York City seeks an experienced technology manager to lead a multi-year transformation program centered on the Murex platform, working with business, risk, operations, and finance.

You will guide architecture, governance, vendor management, and production readiness, managing a distributed team across North America, Europe, and external partners, delivering from concept through production support.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in capital markets or financial services, with deep knowledge of fixed income and derivatives products.
• 5+ years delivering Murex implementations, upgrades, extensions, or major platform enhancements.
• Strong understanding of Fixed Income and OTC derivatives processing; experience with XVA, risk, or valuation platforms.
• Led global technology teams and strategic transformation programs.
• Able to elicit complex business requirements and translate to practical Murex designs and technical requirements.
• Excellent written, verbal, facilitation, and presentation skills for traders, analysts, and senior leaders.
• Able to balance priorities and deliver resilient, scalable solutions from concept to production support.

Responsibilities

• Serve as functional lead and solution architect to extend the New York Murex platform for a European booking entity.
• Manage a geographically distributed team across North America, EMEA, and vendor organizations.
• Define scalable solutions aligning business requirements with Murex capabilities and enterprise standards.
• Partner with New York and London Murex, infrastructure, and application teams, plus traders and operations.
• Facilitate requirements, design, and workshop activities; translate processes into functional specs and delivery plans.
• Drive cross-functional execution, manage dependencies and risks, report status with SMEs and PMO.
• Establish target operating model for European entity and own solution post-implementation.
• Lead analysis and delivery of new Murex functionality and platform enhancements.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce debt, and improve resilience.
