Job summary

Fishbeck is seeking a Senior Municipal Water & Wastewater Engineering Project Manager in Columbus, OH. You will lead design and planning for water mains, sanitary and storm sewers, and prepare master plans, feasibility studies, and reports. Travel within Ohio is expected as projects span multiple sites.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree, 8+ years in utility design, and a PE license (OH preferred). Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, plus strong communication, is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 8+ years of utility design experience.
• Ohio PE license or ability to obtain licensure within six months.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel to project and client sites within Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and planning for water mains and sanitary and storm sewer projects.
• Prepare utility master plans, feasibility studies, and preliminary engineering reports.
• Develop design documents and specifications for bidding.
• Submit construction permits to regulatory agencies.
• Manage municipal utility projects from concept to completion.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring satisfaction and clear communication.
• Collaborate with technical staff across Fishbeck offices to deliver integrated engineering services.
• Support proposal development and participate in qualifications submissions.
• Engage daily with project teams in a multi-discipline, multi-office environment.
