Job summary

MissionHires is seeking a client-focused Professional Engineer and Project Manager to lead municipal drinking water projects, including PFAS treatment and Lead and Copper Rule initiatives. The role requires travel to client sites and offers a flexible hybrid schedule with collaboration across operations, regulatory agencies, and design teams.

The candidate should have 15–25 years in consulting engineering, at least 5 years in project management, and a Missouri or Illinois PE license or ability

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Active Professional Engineer license in Missouri or Illinois or ability to obtain licensure.
• 15–25 years of consulting engineering experience and 5+ years in project management.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and delivery of municipal drinking water projects.
• Develop budgets, schedules, milestones, staffing, and scope for projects.
• Coordinate with Operations, staff, clients, and regulators to ensure compliance.
• Represent the firm professionally in meetings, site visits, and proposals.
• Visit client sites to support meetings, coordination, and construction activities.
• Ensure QA/QC reviews uphold technical excellence standards.
