Job summary

WSB in Minnesota is seeking a Senior Project Manager for our Municipal team. You will manage multi-discipline projects, lead engineers and staff, and deliver CIP programs for municipal clients across the U.S.

The role emphasizes strong client relations, budget oversight, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree, Minnesota PE or eligibility within six months, and 8+ years of municipal experience, preferably in the Minneapolis metro area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited school.
• Registration as a professional engineer (or ability to obtain) in Minnesota within six months.
• 8+ years municipal experience with direct municipality work.
• Experience with Minnesota municipalities preferred; familiarity with Minneapolis metro area.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of multi-discipline projects from proposal through closeout.
• Plan, direct, and coordinate client meetings, hearings, and public involvement events.
• Lead a team of engineers, technicians, and staff across locations.
• Deliver CIP programs and projects for municipal clients, potentially on-site.
• Establish and maintain relationships with municipal clients and ensure requirements are met.
• Ensure projects comply with municipal codes, regulations and environmental standards.
• Develop project budgets and monitor expenditures to control costs.
• Lead business development activities with existing and new clients.
