Job summary

Stantec is seeking an experienced municipal finance leader in the South to guide strategic engagements across water and other public infrastructure services. You will lead financial planning, rate studies, cost-of-service analyses, and funding strategies while mentoring staff and driving new opportunities.

The role focuses on delivering rigorous, defensible analyses and practical recommendations to support long-term affordability and public service sustainability in communities across the region.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive consulting or utility experience, including leadership, project management, staff development, and client relationship responsibilities.
• Knowledge of municipal and utility finance, rate-setting, affordability, funding, and asset management.
• Experience leading complex municipal finance engagements with cross-disciplinary teams.
• PMP certification or other relevant credentials beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Engage with municipal and utility clients to understand financial, policy, and infrastructure challenges and develop practical solutions.
• Lead the delivery of municipal finance assignments, including rate studies, financial plans, cost-of-service analyses, and funding strategies.
• Collaborate with regional leadership to identify opportunities across water, wastewater, and other public infrastructure services.
• Lead business development for municipal finance in the South and support pursuits in other geographies.
• Mentor, train, and deploy finance professionals.
