Job summary

CPS, Ltd. in Grand Forks, ND, is seeking a Senior Municipal Engineer to lead municipal and civil projects, including street and utility rehabilitation, new developments, and transportation-related initiatives.

You will supervise engineers and technicians, prepare proposals, and interact with clients, agencies, and the public. A PE license in ND or ability to obtain within one year, and 8+ years of proven engineering experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in North Dakota or ability to obtain within one year after employment.
• 8+ years of proven engineering experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, time management, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering services to clients on sanitary sewer, water distribution, stormwater, and street projects.
• Deliver technical direction to engineers and technicians.
• Formulate and develop advanced civil and municipal engineering concepts and reports.
• Provide and receive peer reviews to ensure technical accuracy and quality.
• Lead project teams consisting of CPS staff and sub-contractors.
• Coordinate technical and administrative activities with others and assist in preparing proposals.
