Responsibilities:

• Lead engineering services for municipal clients, managing infrastructure and land development projects from concept through construction.
• Oversee design and permitting of public works projects including roadways, stormwater systems, water/wastewater infrastructure, and site improvements.
• Prepare construction documents, cost estimates, and technical reports.
• Coordinate with municipal staff, planning boards, and public agencies on approvals, budgets, and capital improvement planning.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and technical teams, ensuring timely and compliant deliverables.
• Review land development applications for conformance with municipal codes and engineering standards.
• Attend and present at public meetings, council sessions, and planning/zoning board hearings.
• Provide mentorship to junior staff and support business development through proposal writing and client engagement.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; PE license required.
• 8–12 years of progressive experience in municipal engineering or consulting.
• Deep knowledge of NJ municipal regulations, stormwater management, land use planning, and permitting processes.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MS Office, and drainage/hydraulic modeling software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; capable of interacting with public officials and community stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and lead internal/external teams.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally for site visits and client meetings.
