Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a highly skilled Software Testing Principal (MUMPS) for a remote role within the Veterans Affairs program. The position requires 10+ years of experience in software testing, with strong focus on MUMPS/InterSystems Cache environments, healthcare interoperability, and regulated systems.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software testing, quality assurance, or system validation experience.
• Experience testing MUMPS/InterSystems Cache healthcare applications and legacy systems.
• Knowledge of SDLC and testing methodologies; experience with UAT, functional, integration, and regression testing.

Responsibilities

• Support testing and QA activities for mission-critical healthcare applications in MUMPS/InterSystems Cache environments.
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, scripts, and procedures.
• Validate software enhancements, maintenance releases, defects, and upgrades.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, UAT, and end-to-end testing.
• Verify data integrity across legacy healthcare applications and interfaces.
• Test HL7, FHIR, EDI transactions and interoperability scenarios.
• Participate in Beta/IOC testing with facilities and end users.
• Analyze defects, troubleshoot, and coordinate resolution with developers.
