Job summary

Axcelis Technologies, Beverly, MA, seeks a Senior Mechanical Analyst to lead multiphysics simulations for semiconductor capital equipment, applying first-principles physics to guide design, validation, and testing.

You will own end-to-end analysis, mentor engineers, and influence product architecture through reliable modeling of nonlinear structure, thermal, and vibration behaviors, ensuring performance and cost goals.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• 5–15+ years of industry experience in FEA or multiphysics modeling.
• Strong proficiency in Ansys (Mechanical/Workbench; APDL preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced FEA and multiphysics simulations for design optimization.
• Own analysis end-to-end: setup, validation, and design recommendations.
• Perform nonlinear structural, thermal, vibration, and coupled multiphysics analyses.
