  • Eight+ years of engineering analysis experience in computational mechanics or similar.
  • Expertise in finite element methods, solid mechanics, numerical methods, and physics-based problem solving.
  • Experience with linear or nonlinear structural analysis, including nonlinearities, joints, fatigue, or fracture.
  • Experience with structural dynamics, heat transfer, CFD, or multiphysics simulations is beneficial.
  • Experience verifying models with test data or qualification data.
  • Familiarity with high-precision equipment or complex opto-mechanical systems is a plus.
  • Proficiency with ANSYS, Simcenter, Abaqus, Nastran and technical computing tools (Python, MATLAB).

Responsabilités

  • Select modeling assumptions, properties, interfaces, boundary conditions, and solver settings.
  • Validate results with first-principles calculations, benchmarks, and test correlation.
  • Guide design and qualification by identifying risks, margins, and improvements.
  • Resolve issues via physics-based root-cause analysis and modeling.
  • Define activities to establish confidence in proposed designs.
