Job summary

Zurich North America in New York City seeks an experienced Executive Underwriter for the Multinational team. Based in NYC with a hybrid schedule, you will underwrite and analyze new and renewal Multinational Property and Casualty accounts and be visible in the marketplace about 25% of the time.

You will build and maintain broker relationships in the East Region, apply underwriting rules, and work on highly complex assignments within delegated authority.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5+ years in Underwriting or Market Facing area, OR 10+ years in Claims or Underwriting Support.
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with Associate Degree and 3+ years in Underwriting or Market Facing area.
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with Associate Degree and 8+ years in Claims or Underwriting Support area.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Experience working on time restraints for quotes on new and renewal business.
• Experience working in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Underwriting, analyzing, and generating new and renewal business.
• Market facing and production within the Middle Market Multinational division.
• Administering and monitoring underwriting rules and guidelines, insurance laws and regulations and rating manual rules.
• Developing and maintaining agency and broker relationships in the East Region.
• Working within broad limits and authorities on highly complex assignments.
