Job summary

Zurich North America is seeking an experienced Underwriter – Multinational to join our Central Region. The role focuses on Middle Market Multinational business and offers a hybrid schedule with in-office days three per week in Chicago, IL, Minneapolis, MN, Overland Park, KS or St.

Louis, MO. You will underwrite new and renewal Multinational Casualty accounts, be market-facing, and develop broker relationships.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent with 1+ year in the Insurance or Market-facing area
• OR High School Diploma or Equivalent with 2+ years in the Claims or Underwriting Support area
• Knowledge of the insurance industry and the legal and regulatory environment
• Knowledge of underwriting philosophy, techniques, national/local filing regulations and guidelines

Responsibilities

• Underwriting, analyzing, and generating new and renewal business
• Market facing and production within the Middle Market Multinational division
• Administering and monitoring underwriting rules and guidelines, insurance laws and regulations and rating manual rules
• Developing and maintaining agency and broker relationships in the Central Region
• Working within broad limits and authorities on highly complex assignments
