Job summary

Toole Design seeks a Senior Transportation Engineer to lead multimodal corridor studies and Vision Zero initiatives from our Oakland, CA office.

You will mentor staff, guide projects from concept through implementation, and build strong client relationships to support business development.

Qualifications

• PE license and/or California Transportation Engineer license.
• TE certification, or ability to obtain within six months.
• 8+ years of multimodal transportation project experience.
• Proven leadership of multi-discipline design and planning projects.
• Strong networks in the California transportation market.
• Experience presenting projects to diverse audiences.
• Ability to win work through proposals and interviews.
• Fluency or working knowledge of Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead multimodal corridor studies and Vision Zero initiatives.
• Oversee Active Transportation Plans and Safe Routes to School projects.
• Mentor staff and guide projects from concept through implementation.
• Build client relationships and support business development.
• Develop practical solutions to improve safety and mobility for pedestrians, cyclists, and transit users.
