Job summary

Red Carrot is seeking a Senior Multimedia Director to lead all multimedia projects for a federal contract, shaping visuals across video, digital, social, and print.

You will oversee the full production cycle from concept to post, work in shipboard and field environments, and ensure brand integrity and timely delivery under fast-paced conditions.

A strong portfolio and an Active Secret clearance are required, with proficiency in Premiere Pro and After Effects and experience in maritime contexts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of equivalent professional experience with a strong portfolio
• Active Secret security clearance
• Professional portfolio demonstrating creative direction, cinematography, lighting, audio capture, and post-production
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects with motion graphics and color grading
• Expert knowledge of video codecs and delivery specs for web, social media, and broadcast
• Ability to transport and operate professional camera, lighting, and audio gear in maritime and field environments
• Willingness to travel occasionally within the continental U.S. and overseas

Responsibilities

• Exercise independent artistic judgment and design authority over multimedia projects
• Translate maritime concepts into engaging visual campaigns for digital, social, and print
• Direct and design assets across DVIDS, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and websites
• Create platform-specific assets using vertical and square formats for mobile
• Lead pre-production: concepts, storyboards, briefs, shot lists, logistics
• Apply cinematography, lighting, camera movement to evoke emotion
• Direct and capture field and studio audio with lavalier mics and external recorders
• Lead post-production in Premiere Pro and After Effects: sequencing, sound, color
• Manage digital assets with metadata and archiving
• Deliver real-time news-cycle turnarounds from shipboard environments
