Job summary

Fairfield Residential seeks a Senior Maintenance Technician to perform and supervise daily property maintenance across our Greater Houston portfolio. You will diagnose HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, and appliance issues, while ensuring safety, cleanliness, and timely responses to resident maintenance requests.

Role involves on-site work at multiple properties, supervising outside contractors when needed, maintaining inventory, and supporting preventative maintenance programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• HVAC-EPA Type II or EPA Universal license required.
• CPO certification strongly preferred; must obtain within 90 days.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Minimum 2 years property maintenance experience.
• Experience supervising maintenance staff and contractors preferred.
• Strong diagnostic/repair skills across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, appliances.
• Ability to read/write/communicate in English.
• Willingness to be on-call for emergencies and to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance tasks and diagnose/repair issues.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
• Maintain pool, hot tub, and other amenities.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of buildings and grounds.
• Coordinate with outside contractors when needed.
• Schedule and document preventative maintenance and apartment turns.
• Assist with safety meetings and regulatory compliance.
• Manage inventory and assist in purchasing materials.
• Support resident functions and post notices.
