Job summary

Fairfield Residential is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to perform daily tasks, diagnose and repair issues across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliances. You will also supervise outside contractors, manage inventory, and ensure safety compliance across the property.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, an HVAC license, and 2+ years of property maintenance experience. A valid driver’s license and ability to work weekends or holidays are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; HVAC-EPA (Type II) or EPA Universal license is required.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) license strongly preferred; associates hired without a CPO license must obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• 2+ years of experience in property maintenance or a related field.
• Experience in supervising contractors preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance tasks and diagnose/repair issues in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliances.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
• Maintain pool, hot tub, and other amenities; ensure safety and cleanliness of buildings and grounds.
• Schedule and document preventative maintenance and apartment turns; conduct regular inspections.
• Supervise duties and outside contractors in the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor; coordinate move-ins and move-outs.
• Assist with safety meetings and compliance with policies and regulations.
• Maintain inventory and assist in purchasing materials and supplies.
• Participate in resident functions and assist with posting notices.
