Job summary

SunRidge Management Group is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician to oversee on-site operations, mentor staff, and ensure a clean, safe living environment for residents. This full-time role requires coordinating 24/7 maintenance coverage, managing budgets, and maintaining regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate brings 3+ years in multifamily maintenance, strong leadership, and proficiency in OneSite/Yardi and Microsoft Office. CPO and HVAC certifications are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in multifamily property maintenance.
• Proven leadership and organizational skills to manage staff and daily operations.
• Strong knowledge of state lease forms, Fair Housing laws and Property Code.
• Proficient in property management software such as OneSite and/or Yardi and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• CPO & HVAC certifications are required.
• Must work 40 hours per week, including weekends and on‑call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory levels of maintenance supplies and tools; ensure tools are in good condition.
• Monitor and correct hazardous conditions across the property (lighting, gates, stairs, etc.).
• Identify and label utility cut-offs; maintain property maps.
• Keep storage areas secure and perform daily site cleanup across grounds.
• Train and mentor maintenance staff to promote a safety-first culture.
• Approve service requests and delegate tasks; provide hands-on support as needed.
• Schedule on-call and emergency maintenance rotations with the property manager.
• Perform preventive maintenance for equipment and common areas; coordinate with vendors when needed.
• Promote exceptional resident service and respond promptly to concerns and service requests.
• Maintain records for leases, inspections, renewals, and permits; submit reports to corporate.
• Ensure compliance with licensing and safety regulations.
