The City of Saint Paul’s Housing division seeks a Principal Project Manager to lead complex multifamily housing initiatives—from concept through financing, construction, and completion. You will guide planning, financing, and implementation while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.

Open to candidates with a relevant degree and experience in senior project management, this role emphasizes equity, inclusion, and community engagement within Saint Paul’s housing goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years of experience as a Senior Project Manager.
• Ability to navigate local, state and federal requirements.
• Some positions may require reading, writing, and speaking a language other than English.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex multifamily housing projects from concept to completion.
• Structure and evaluate project financing and negotiate terms for new construction, rehabilitation, and refinancing.
• Build and coordinate project partnerships with developers, lenders, legal counsel, and community organizations.
• Ensure regulatory and program compliance by reviewing documentation and monitoring financing requirements.
• Coordinate project activities and communicate progress to leadership, public officials and the community.
