The ideal candidate will manage month-end close, oversee property accounting, and partner with operations and asset management to drive financial discipline across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years of progressive accounting experience, including multifamily real estate.
• Experience supervising an accounting team.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and internal controls.
• Disciplined month-end close across multiple entities or properties.
• Experience with property accounting for acquisitions and dispositions.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly and annual close for the multifamily portfolio, including statements, journal entries and reconciliations.
• Review property-level income statements and balance sheets for accuracy and variances.
• Ensure general ledger activity is properly recorded and consistent across the portfolio.
• Review and approve reconciliations and resolve outstanding items promptly.
• Support consolidated reporting, audits and tax reporting.
