Macdonald & Company is exclusively retained to appoint a Multifamily Asset Manager for a Dallas-based real estate investment and development company. You will serve as owner's representative for a growing portfolio, owning asset business plans, overseeing third-party managers, and guiding decisions to protect and grow investment value.

The role emphasizes financial modeling, market-driven pricing strategies, and regular investor reporting.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in multifamily asset management, acquisitions, or operations finance.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, including advanced Excel and understanding of valuation, debt structures, and investment returns.

Responsibilities

• Develop annual business plans, budgets, rolling forecasts, and asset-level cash flow models.
• Lead operating and financial reviews with third-party managers using data to identify issues and drive solutions.
• Set pricing, concessions, renewal, and capital investment strategies based on performance and market conditions.
• Monitor cash needs, distributions, debt covenants, reserves, and upcoming maturities; support refinancing and recapitalization analysis.
• Prepare investor reporting and recommendations for hold, sale, or recapitalization to senior leadership.
• Visit assets regularly and support acquisitions due diligence with operating insight.
