Job summary

The Kaali-Nagy Company’s Kaali-Nagy Properties (KNP) seeks a Senior Multifamily Architect / Project Architect-Builder to lead developments from land acquisition through Certificate of Occupancy. You will design, entitle, document, and ultimately represent the Company in the field with our Construction Manager.

This role covers interior design, unit layouts, finishes, and community amenity spaces. Depending on project, you may lead interior work or brief and direct an outside interior designer.

Qualifications

• B.Arch or M.Arch from an accredited program; licensure strongly preferred.
• Minimum eight years post-graduate experience in ground-up Class A multifamily 100–200 units and $50M+ per project.
• Proficiency across transit-oriented, urban infill and garden style typologies.
• Experience as an owner's representative with a Construction Manager and public hearings.
• Strong interior design sensibility with ability to direct an interior designer.
• Knowledge of multifamily finish, fixture and appliance specs at scale.
• Lead design-build discipline with time split between studio and active job sites.
• Strong leadership, presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead land planning, schematics, unit mix, and project identity.
• Handle entitlements, CT 8-30g overlays, hearings with Planning & Zoning.
• Develop CDs with Revit for 100–200 unit communities; ensure IBC compliance.
• Oversee permitting, bidding, and buyout with Construction Manager.
• Serve as Owner's Representative on site with weekly meetings and RFIs.
• Manage close-out, COs, warranties, and turnover to management.
