Job summary

Zions Capital Markets, backed by Zions Bancorporation, is seeking an experienced Multifamily Agency Originator to drive deal flow and structure complex agency transactions for multifamily financing. The role emphasizes owner/developer relationships, broker networks, and collaboration with underwriting, capital markets, and servicing teams across agency programs.

The successful candidate will leverage deep knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, and other capital sources to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• 7+ years of commercial real estate lending or mortgage banking experience, with a strong focus on originations.
• Proven track record of sourcing and closing transactions within multifamily or related asset classes.
• Experience with agency lending and other institutional capital sources strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Source and close new multifamily lending opportunities for agency execution.
• Leverage existing relationships while actively cultivating new connections with owners, developers, brokers, and financial intermediaries.
• Partner with commercial banking teams to drive cross-platform referrals and deepen enterprise client engagement.
• Maintain an active pipeline of opportunities and manage transactions through closing.
• Lead borrower discussions to design and negotiate financing solutions that align with client objectives and program requirements.
• Structure transactions across multiple capital sources, selecting the optimal execution strategy based on market conditions and asset profile.
