Job summary

Hirewell is seeking a Senior Acquisitions Associate to join our investment team and drive multifamily attainable housing opportunities from screening to closing. You will oversee market research, underwriting, and due diligence while coordinating with brokers, lenders, and internal teams to execute investments that meet financial objectives.

Qualifications

• 4–7+ years of experience in multifamily acquisitions or related fields.
• Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, Economics; MBA or master's degree is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience underwriting multifamily real estate investments.
• Strong understanding of multifamily operating fundamentals, valuation, debt, and investment returns.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate multifamily acquisition opportunities that align with attainable housing strategy.
• Develop relationships with brokers, owners, developers, lenders and other industry partners.
• Review opportunities and assess investment viability; source new opportunities.
• Build and maintain Excel-based financial models for acquisitions.
• Underwrite cash flows, renovations, capex, debt structures and exit scenarios.
• Lead due diligence from LOI through closing and coordinate third-party providers.
• Prepare investment memos and present to senior leadership.
• Monitor market trends and identify strategies to preserve or improve attainable housing.
