Job summary

GAF’s new Newton, Kansas plant seeks a skilled Multicraft Technician III to perform a wide range of advanced maintenance tasks. You’ll work under the Maintenance Supervisor to keep electrical, mechanical, and facility systems running safely and reliably in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities include developing work orders in MAXIMO CMMS, executing preventive maintenance, and guiding root-cause analyses to improve uptime.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years in industrial maintenance preferred.
• Competent with Google Apps and MAXIMO/CMMS Asset Management Software.
• Strong troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• AC/DC motor repair/replacement and welding skills appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Develop work orders in MAXIMO CMMS and maintain documentation.
• Adhere to safety and environmental guidelines and participate in safety programs.
• Perform lubrication, vibration analysis, infrared thermography and ultrasound analyses.
• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain industrial machinery and electrical equipment.
• Improve equipment reliability and uptime through proactive maintenance and root-cause analysis.
