Job summary

GAF Materials Corp. is seeking a Maintenance Technician I at our Newton facility to perform a wide range of advanced multicraft maintenance tasks in a high-volume production setting.

You will read blueprints, diagnose equipment issues, fabricate parts, weld, and align machinery while adhering to safety and quality standards. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems, and collaborating with the maintenance and production teams to minimize

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years industrial or mechanical maintenance experience in high-volume manufacturing.
• Ability to read instructions, blueprints and manuals; use meters & shop tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide general maintenance support and PMs for plant equipment.
• Troubleshoot from blueprints and schematics; work on machine drives and conveyors.
• Perform welding (MIG) and pipe work; maintain safety and equipment uptime.
• Coordinate with maintenance and production teams to resolve issues.
• Ensure safety, quality, timeliness, and cost-efficiency in tasks.
