Job summary

BorgWarner is seeking a senior technical expert in multibody dynamics to advance engine and driveline systems. You will develop and apply simulation methods for chain-drive systems, improve model accuracy, and shorten analysis cycles.

You will guide global engineering teams and support customers and manufacturing in a fast-paced environment. The role requires 8+ years in multibody dynamics, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with leading simulation tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics, Applied Mechanics, or Engineering Physics.
• 8+ years of related engineering experience in multibody dynamics, system simulation, driveline analysis, or similar field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability; translate simulation results into engineering recommendations.
• Proficiency with 2D/3D multibody dynamics modelling tools: ANSYS Motion, Siemens Simcenter, FunctionBay RecurDyn, or equivalents.
• Knowledge of automotive propulsion or related mechanical system dynamics.
• Ability to plan and manage multiple technical projects and timelines.
• Clear communication and collaboration skills across functions and locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead multibody dynamics analysis to guide driveline and chain-drive product development.
• Build, validate, and apply dynamic system models to predict performance and guide design improvements.
• Optimize system performance through layout, hydraulic characteristics, stiffness, and loading analysis.
• Develop, improve, validate, and support proprietary software and automation routines for driveline analysis.
• Own analysis methods, procedures, and standards to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Plan and coordinate technical work across multiple projects, milestones, and priorities.
• Provide technical direction and peer review to global colleagues across engineering disciplines.
• Lead technical discussions with customers and teams, communicating assumptions, findings, risks, and recommendations.
• Investigate new designs and materials to improve performance, cost, quality, or manufacturing efficiency.
• Generate IP related to product or analysis-method innovations and support manufacturing issue resolution.
