• PhD in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science (optional).

Responsibilities

• Use Adams, Nastran, and Hypermesh software to develop and simulate multibody models for trucks, tractors, and buses with conventional and EV powertrains.
• Interact with chassis, body development teams and vehicle performance groups to ensure synchronized product development and validation.
• Create and maintain reporting throughout team levels.
• Mentor less experienced team members.
• shepherd the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing as the product moves to production and distribution.

The Multibody Dynamics Simulation Engineer position in vehicle dynamics simulation uses multibody dynamics (MBD) software in support of product development of commercial trucks in the areas of ride quality, handling, durability loads prediction, and other vehicle attributes.

Responsibilities

• Use Adams, Nastran, and Hypermesh software to develop and simulate multibody models in support of product development of trucks, tractor-trailer combinations, and buses with conventional and electric powertrains (EVs).
• Interact with the chassis and body development teams as well as vehicle performance and durability test and analysis groups to ensure synchronized product development and validation
• Create and maintain reporting throughout team levels.
• Mentor less experienced team members
• Shepard the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing as the product(s) move to production and distribution.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science
• At least 5 years of experience in product design/development and/or computer science experience

OR

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science
• At least 3 years of experience in product design/development and/or computer science experience

OR

• PhD in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science

Desired Skills

• Expertise in Multibody Dynamics Software, preferably Adams (SIMPACK, MeVEA, OpenSim, Open Dynamics Engineer, MBDyn, FreeDyn)
• Experience with Finite Element Analysis software such as Nastran and Hypermesh
• Experience in simulation of Ride Quality, Handling, Durability Loads, and other Vehicle Dynamics Attributes.
• Ability to work in a team environment
