Hunt Companies, Inc. seeks Maintenance Technicians at Fort Sam Houston, TX to support the upkeep of rental housing communities. Eligible candidates range from Level 1 to Level 3, with responsibilities spanning HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, and general repairs.

The role requires outdoor work in all weather, adherence to safety rules, and dependable attendance. Levels differ by experience; Level 1 requires 1–3 years, Level 2 4–6 with EPA 608, Level 3 7+ with certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent) required.
• Able to work outside in all weather conditions and perform physical work, lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and more than 50 pounds occasionally.
• Must be a team player with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Must demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge and daily use of technology platforms.
• Valid driver's license in state."

Responsibilities

• Responds to service requests including furnaces, AC systems, appliances, water heaters, disposals, plumbing, carpentry, painting and other maintenance items.
• Performs skilled work in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, or locksmith with basic troubleshooting abilities.
• Document all work and provide excellent customer service per policy.
• Maintain tools, gauges, and equipment in ready repair.
• Follow PPE guidelines and safety practices.
• Follow preventive maintenance and replace filters as needed.
• Assist in making ready vacated units (paint, carpentry, tile, drywall, etc.).
• Perform emergency maintenance (sewage, water leaks, fires, weather damage).
• Ensure unsafe conditions are corrected promptly.
• Ability to drive company or personal vehicle for work tasks (50%+ of time).
• Level 3 mentors maintenance staff and assists others.
