Job summary

AHFC in Anchorage seeks a Multi-Family Underwriter II to handle complex or non-routine underwriting within the Mortgage Operations Department. You will independently underwrite multi-family loans, analyze credit, income, collateral, and legal documents, and maintain MITAS and MURF records.

This non-exempt, non-supervisory role reports to the Multi-Family Lending Manager, offering technical guidance to staff and contributing to program development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, banking, economics, real estate, or closely related field.
• Five or more years of progressively responsible mortgage, commercial real estate, or multi-family lending experience; underwriting/credit analysis responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite complex, non-routine multi-family loan requests and recommend action.
• Review credit, income, collateral, and legal documentation; ensure accurate MITAS data.
• Enter, review, and maintain underwriting records in MURF; support program guidelines.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to underwriting staff; assist management with special projects.
