Job summary

Alaska Housing Finance Corporation is seeking a Multi-Family Underwriter I in Anchorage to perform underwriting of loan submissions, applying AHFC criteria while using MITAS and MURF to document reviews. The role reports to the Multi-Family Lending Manager or designee, with supervision on complex cases.

The position requires 3+ years in mortgage lending, a bachelor’s degree in a related field, and the ability to analyze credit, income, and collateral.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, finance, banking, economics, real estate, or related field and 3+ years of mortgage lending experience.
Experience must include underwriting and credit analysis responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Review loan submissions and analyze credit, income, collateral, and legal aspects.
Underwrite multi-family and related loan applications through closing.
Maintain accurate loan records in MITAS and organize files in MURF.
Prepare underwriting recommendations and respond to lenders and borrowers.
