Job summary

Johns Manville is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine and non-routine maintenance on production and facility equipment supporting roofing material production. The role emphasizes safety, problem solving, and root-cause analysis to improve uptime and productivity.

The incumbent will work with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, following JSA procedures, reading schematics, and using test instruments to diagnose and repair equipment while maintaining a clean,

Qualifications

• 2-5 years multi-craft maintenance experience
• Strong commitment to safety
• Ability to work well with others
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
• Intermediate computer skills
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and handle multiple priorities and projects
• Ability to disassemble, diagnose, repair, and perform preventative repair measures on mechanical equipment
• Local travel for training purposes

Responsibilities

• Follow all Johns Manville safety and environmental procedures and policies
• Attend plant safety and training meetings as scheduled
• Follow Job Safety Analysis (JSA's) and wear protective clothing and equipment
• Develop JSA’s for new tasks
• Perform routine and non-routine maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems
• Display advanced knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, and pneumatics systems
• Install and repair electrical conduit and cable
• Work from schematics to troubleshoot or modify equipment
• Perform electrical measurements
• Inspect equipment and report defects
• Maintain and lubricate equipment
• Participate in RCCA teams
• Assist co-workers as directed
• Perform other work as assigned by supervisor
• Provide feedback to leadership on equipment issues
• Display flexibility with changes and cross-functional teamwork
• Keep work areas clean
• May perform other duties as assigned
