Job summary

Johns Manville is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to perform routine and non-routine maintenance on production and facility equipment, supporting safety, productivity and machine uptime. The role requires troubleshooting from electrical schematics and strong mechanical proficiency, with cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement participation.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years multi-craft maintenance experience.
• Strong commitment to safety.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and handle multiple priorities and projects.
• Disassemble, diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment incl. pumps, gearboxes, etc.
• Knowledge of hand tools and power tools; shop machinery such as hydraulic press, lathe, etc.

Responsibilities

• Follow all Johns Manville safety and environmental procedures.
• Attend plant safety and training meetings.
• Follow Job Safety Analysis (JSA's) and report hazards.
• Perform routine and non-routine maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Install and repair electrical conduit and cable; work from schematics.
• Perform voltmeter, ammeter, wattmeter, and other electrical measurements.
• Maintain and lubricate equipment and ensure proper alignment.
• Participate in RCCA teams and continuous improvement efforts.
• Assist co-workers as directed; support leadership on critical equipment issues.
