Job summary

Johns Manville Corp in Hillsboro, TX is seeking a Maintenance Tech II to maintain production and facility equipment, support roofing material production, and help meet safety, productivity and uptime targets.

You will perform routine and non-routine maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems, troubleshoot from schematics, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives. 2–5 years multi‑craft maintenance experience and a strong safety mindset are required.

• Must be signed off on all Maintenance Technician I job qualifications.
• 2–5 years multi‑craft maintenance experience.

• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and handle multiple priorities and projects.
• Knowledge of use of hand tools and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Follow Johns Manville safety and environmental procedures and policies.
• Attend plant safety and training meetings as scheduled.
• Follow Job Safety Analysis (JSA's) and wear protective clothing/equipment as required.
• Develop JSA’s for new tasks and review annually.
• Perform routine and non-routine maintenance activities on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Display advanced knowledge of electrical/mechanical systems and perform measurements.
• Inspect equipment and report defects to support preventative maintenance.
• Maintain, adjust, service and lubricate equipment for optimal operation.
• Participate in continuous improvement and RCCA teams.
• Provide feedback and solutions to leadership on critical equipment issues.
