Job summary

Western Alliance Bank is seeking a Staff Engineer II - MuleSoft to design, develop, and support scalable integration solutions on our Digital Asset Platform. You will help architect and implement robust APIs that power critical business capabilities.

You will lead API strategy, enforce governance, and drive collaboration across teams, delivering secure, reliable services with modern DevOps practices and strong communication to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 7 years in design, coding, testing and documentation of MuleSoft APIs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration experience.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD processes.
• Familiarity with API-led connectivity, RAML/OpenAPI.
• Knowledge of regulatory and financial services domain helpful.

Responsibilities

• Lead API design and governance aligned with enterprise standards.
• Develop and maintain MuleSoft APIs on Anypoint Platform.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver scalable integration solutions.
• Implement secure APIs with OAuth 2.0, JWT, SAML, TLS.
• Provide production support, incident resolution, and RCA.
• Create technical documentation and runbooks.
