Job summary

Western Alliance Bancorporation is seeking a Staff Engineer II - MuleSoft Engineer to lead API strategy and delivery on the Mulesoft Anypoint platform. You will own production API support, drive architectural standards, and mentor teams across delivery and production support.

Requirements include 7+ years in MuleSoft API development, strong leadership, and experience with API-led connectivity. This role involves collaboration, governance, and potential travel up to 25% in a banking environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related field required.
7+ years in MuleSoft API design, development, and production support.
Strong experience with MuleSoft Anypoint and CloudHub.
Experience with API-led connectivity patterns and API standards.
Experience with Agile development practices and leadership capabilities.
Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools to boost delivery efficiency.

Responsibilities

Own production support for APIs including incident management and RCA.
Design, develop, test, and deploy solutions on MuleSoft Anypoint platform.
Design API layers, data models and specifications.
Develop APIs using MuleSoft components (API Manager, CloudHub, Anypoint Studio, DataWeave).
Provide technical leadership and establish engineering standards and best practices.
Lead continuous improvement of MuleSoft and cloud integration operations.
