Job summary

System One is seeking a Lead Integration Developer in Clearwater, FL. Hybrid role with quarterly travel to Clearwater and ~40 hours weekly. You will design, develop, and deliver scalable MuleSoft-based integrations and API-Led architectures, while guiding teams and ensuring robust production operations.

The role requires 10+ years in enterprise integration, strong MuleSoft and middleware experience, API design expertise, and leadership in CI/CD and security practices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software/integration development experience.
• Hands-on MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (Mule runtime, API Manager, Exchange, Runtime Manager).
• Experience with middleware tools (Mulesoft, Azure Integration Services, Azure Logic Apps).
• API-Led integration patterns at scale and event-driven processing.
• RESTful APIs, SOAP/legacy integration, and security (OAuth2, JWT, mTLS).
• CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and production support.
• Ability to lead technical discussions and mentor teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver scalable integration solutions with MuleSoft.
• Implement API-Led architectures using System APIs, Process APIs, and Experience APIs.
• Build event-driven integrations with asynchronous messaging and streaming.
• Create reusable assets and accelerator frameworks for delivery teams.
• Lead API lifecycle, governance, versioning, and policy enforcement.
• Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to translate requirements.
• Create RAML/OpenAPI specs and ensure conformance with design.
• Implement observability, logging, alerting, and performance tuning.
• Guide CI/CD setup and release automation for Mule apps and APIs.
• Mentor developers through reviews and design walkthroughs.
