Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals seeks an experienced Senior Medical Science Liaison to act as a scientific liaison to the medical and academic community in Washington state. You will build and maintain relationships with health care professionals to ensure timely, ethical dissemination of clinical and scientific information related to Vertex compounds.

You will contribute to shaping the medical plan by incorporating external insights, support medical affairs strategy, and engage HCPs to address

Qualifications

Ability to build relationships with Thought Leaders in Sickle Cell, Thalassemia and Transplant.
Experience presenting scientific information to external stakeholders.
Strong CRM usage and data analytics skills.
Understanding of payer landscape and impact on patient care.

Responsibilities

Develops relationships with Thought Leaders in the Sickle Cell, Thalassemia and Transplant community and engages HCPs across hematology and transplant care.
Incorporates the SEM into interactions and territory planning to enhance engagement.
Captures feedback in CRM to inform medical strategy and plan.
Demonstrates proficiency with CRM/analytics tools for timely data capture and workload management.
Discusses scientific information at an advanced level with external stakeholders.
Represents Vertex at medical congresses with session coverage and debrief responsibilities.
Mentors or trains junior MSL colleagues as needed.
Performs administrative tasks including CRM entry, mileage reporting, and expenses.
