Job summary

Voyager Technologies invites a senior MSAD Systems Engineer V (Team Manager) to lead modeling, simulation, and algorithm design for propulsion programs. Based in Folsom, CA with hybrid or remote work options, you will guide a skilled team and coordinate across GNC, software, and test groups.

You will develop high-fidelity models, run simulations, and drive performance analyses, while mentoring engineers and engaging in customer reviews. A US security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or related field.
• 10 years of modeling, simulation, and algorithm design experience.
• Expertise in systems engineering, modeling & simulation, control systems.
• Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Experience leading small technical teams and developing team members.
• Ability to take increasing technical responsibility and work independently.
• Experience with MATLAB and MATLAB Simulink programming.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-fidelity models and control algorithms for propulsion, flight control, and guidance subsystems.
• Develop system simulation architectures to support design iteration, verification, and validation.
• Perform controllability studies and define control system topologies.
• Support performance engineering with requirements derivation and margin analysis.
• Apply physics-based modeling to propulsion, mechanical, thermal, and aerodynamics systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate modeling products and support reviews.
• Author and review technical documentation and ensure model traceability.
• Mentor engineers and support technical trade studies and reviews.
• Engage with customers and participate in reviews when applicable.
