Job summary

AMERICAN SYSTEMS in Arlington, VA is seeking a senior-level Operations Research Analyst to lead modeling, simulation, and analysis for JIAMDO. You will guide analytical campaigns, develop architectures, and coordinate cross-functional teams across the DoW and government stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Security clearance: Active TS/SCI and SAP eligible.
• Minimum of 10 years of DoW MS&A experience, including 5+ with Joint Staff, OSD, Service HQ, or CCMD HQ.
• Master's degree in engineering (aerospace, electrical, mechanical, or systems).
• Familiarity with campaign- and mission-level modeling & simulation tools (AFSIM, STORM, EADSIM, STK, NSS).
• Proficiency with MATLAB, SAS JMP, Python, or Perl.
• Experience in test design, data collection, and data analysis; knowledge of T&E processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead Modeling, Simulation, & Analysis efforts supporting J8 requirements.
• Plan analytic campaigns based on Joint Staff priorities and document key findings.
• Develop system performance metrics and actionable insights for government customers.
• Engage with customers to define requirements and manage timelines.
• Mentor junior analysts and coordinate teams of analysts across missions.
