Job summary

Wabtec is seeking an experienced MRO Commodity Manager to drive strategic sourcing in the MRO category, aligning global strategies with regional implementations. You will lead cross-functional teams, develop supplier relations, and deliver cost reductions while maintaining high service levels.

The role requires 5+ years in sourcing, strong analytics, and ERP/eSourcing proficiency. Hybrid work model with travel up to 25% and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in sourcing or procurement.
• Experience in supplier relationship management and performance management.
• Ability to lead supplier evaluation, selection, negotiation, contracting and implementation.
• Strong analytical skills (financial, spend, supply market).
• Experience with strategic development and execution.
• Proven supplier development success.
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and gain consensus.
• Proficient with ERP and eSourcing tools (Oracle, M3, Microsoft BI).
• Familiar with financial reporting, manufacturing cost systems and lean tools.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement strategic plans delivering 3-5% annual improvement on spend categories.
• Lead regional/global supplier management and negotiations.
• Run data analysis and optimize the supplier panel for cost and service.
• Plan quarterly business reviews with suppliers and monitor action plans.
• Coordinate regional projects and buyers for categories outside global scope.
• Follow best practices of sourcing and supply management.
• Generate timely reporting on progress towards objectives.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policy and ethical standards.
