Job summary

UCLA Health and David Geffen School of Medicine seeks a Lead MR Technologist to perform complex MRI procedures on 1.5T and 3.0T systems with direct supervision of staff. You will coordinate patient flow, supervise performance, and ensure safety and compliance across UCLA Health imaging locations.

The role requires extensive MRI experience, appropriate ARRT/CRT MR certifications, and the ability to train staff in clinical applications while maintaining patient confidentiality and infection

Qualifications

• ARRT and CRT – required; MR certificate required.
• ARRT and ARMRIT (MR) – required.
• At least 5 years MRI experience – required.
• 3 years Senior MRI status – preferred.
• AA Degree – required.
• BS Degree – preferred.
• BCLS from AHA or American Red Cross – required.
• Venipuncture certificate – required.
• Graduate from a Radiologic Technologist Program – required.
• Ability to train technical staff in clinical applications.
• Ability to confront and resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI systems (1.5T and 3.0T) and provide leadership to staff.
• Coordinate patient flow and supervise imaging operations.
• Administer contrast under radiologist supervision.
• Maintain detailed patient and imaging records per regulations.
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure equipment and supplies are managed.
• Educate patients and monitor safety and comfort.
