Job summary

UCSF Health is seeking an MR Radiologic Technologist to operate high field MRI systems under physician direction, ensuring patient safety and optimal image quality.

The role includes coordinating patient flow, acquiring/processing data, and training staff on new MRI technologies, with responsibilities performed calmly under pressure and in collaboration with radiologists and clinicians.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved radiology technology training program.
• Flexibility to rotate shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to rotate to other sites as needed.
• For Sr. level, minimum 3 years of MRI experience on high field systems.
• For Sr. level, competency in 3 of the 6 specialty scans within 6 months (Cardiac Imaging, Fetal Imaging, etc.).
• Staff level must perform Neuro, MSK, Abdominal, and Pediatric Imaging.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment and coordinate MRI services under physician supervision.
• Train new staff and existing staff on new MRI technologies.
• Maintain and troubleshoot MRI equipment per manufacturer specifications and report issues.
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to MRI protocols and department policies.
