General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) seeks a dynamic and established Senior Program Manager to lead acquisition programs delivering capabilities to the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force.

The role requires coordinating cross-functional production projects and leveraging new and existing tech within aircraft systems, with a strong focus on Foreign Military Sales. The position reports to a Senior Program Manager Supervisor or Director and oversees planning, management, and technical

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in engineering, science or a related technical field with 13+ years of program administration experience.
• Demonstrates extensive program management principles, planning, scheduling, and coordination.
• Ability to develop solutions that coordinate technologies across program requirements.
• Strong communication, leadership, presentation, and interpersonal skills to interface with all levels.
• Customer-focused mindset and ability to work in teams and independently.
• Willingness to work extended hours and travel; ability to obtain DoD clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of the program from conceptualization through completion, including production, planning, and managing technical performance to meet objectives.
• Develop and coordinate program plans for internal and subcontracted programs for a single customer.
• Interact with management and customer representatives regarding programs, scheduling, and contractual clarifications.
• Act as primary contact for program issues and lead review sessions with customers.
• Influence preparation of proposals, budgets, and contract terms/conditions.
• Direct development and ensure security of proprietary technology and maintain confidentiality.
• Ensure compliance with laws and safety procedures.
