Job summary

Amentum seeks an experienced UAS Pilot II to serve as Pilot in Command (PIC) of the MQ-9A and ensure safe operations in CONUS and OCONUS locations. The role requires active Top Secret clearance and travel as needed.

Essential duties include flight planning, briefing, execution, debrief, and enforcing FAA/ICAO rules. You will develop training materials and work with US government agencies and the OEM to safely integrate UAS into the NAS.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance required; ability to obtain TS clearance.
• BA/BS in engineering, business, logistics, management, math, sciences, or professional aeronautics with 5+ years in US military requirements.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of flight planning/briefing, execution, debrief and crew resource management.
• Adhere to military, civilian and ICAO flight rules including FAA regulations.
• Provide expertise in operation of unmanned aircraft (MQ-9A) and pilot-in-command duties.
• Develop briefing and training materials to support flight operations.
• Plans and performs a wide range of systems and equipment under ambient/environmental conditions.
• Collaborate with US Government organizations and OEM to integrate UAS into NAS safely.
