Job summary

NXP Semiconductors NV is seeking a Senior MPU & Embedded AI Field Application Engineer for the Eastern U.S. covering the East Coast, with a home-based setup and site travel as needed.

You will support designs in Healthcare and Industrial spaces, driving design-in activity and collaboration with sales to grow revenue. You will bring deep expertise in embedded Linux, SoC interfaces, and ARM architectures to architect system solutions, lead PoCs, and train customers on new technologies and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering and minimum 6+ years development engineering or applications support of SoC based embedded systems
• Field Application Engineering experience in the semiconductor industry
• Demonstrated knowledge of typical SoC hardware interfaces (Ethernet, MIPI, UART, LPDDR4 or LPDDR5, PCIe ) and ARM Cortex A, Cortex M, heterogeneous architecture and register programming models.
• Familiarity with Embedded Edge AI Model architecture, Workflow Tools and Model deployment is a plus
• Hands on experience in embedded Linux is essential: kernel and user-space and uboot environments
• Strong embedded software skillset for implementation of system processor solutions
• Hands on knowledge of camera enabled graphics/video pipelines and related software drivers helpful
• Ability to read, understand and review schematics and provide design rec

Responsibilities

• Support customer designs and drive design-in activity within Healthcare and Industrial sectors
• Collaborate with sales teams and business lines to align customer needs with roadmaps
• Provide technical expertise and issue resolution to enable revenue growth
• Lead proofs of concept, solution design and demonstrations to secure NXP solutions' design-in
• Synthesize customer and competitive insights to influence product definitions and roadmaps
• Communicate the value proposition of NXP's system solutions relative to competition
• Train customers, sales and distribution partners on new technologies and features
• Develop system-level knowledge of target application spaces
